By now you'll know that you want to make the most of your skills. You're looking to accomplish something important in your work, but are you ready to be an Intelligence Analyst?
It's a stimulating and unique career path for people from a wide range of disciplines, but it's also highly demanding and success doesn't depend on any single skill set. We look for diversity and the variety of life and work experiences that you can bring to the team. The person you are is more important than what you've studied or where you're currently working.
Already you'll be the type of person who can manage in a complex and changing environment - adaptive, confident and with sound judgement. You'll display a keen intellect, outstanding analytical and communication skills and a real desire to contribute to the national security effort. Finally you'll demonstrate the ability to manage competing deadlines and a significant workload in a testing environment.
Think you can handle this fulfilling role? You'll also need:
- A university degree, completed by 30 June 2009, in any discipline
- Australian citizenship
- To be prepared to relocate to Canberra
If you're successful you'll be offered a position at one of two grade levels:
- ASIO Officer Grade 4: $59,223-$64,647 plus superannuation
- ASIO Officer Grade 5: $71,807-$81,906 plus superannuation
Where you start will depend upon the level you apply for, previous relevant experience, post-graduate qualifications and information gathered through the recruitment process.
We strongly believe in and support workplace diversity. Our aim is to have a workforce that reflects Australian society and we encourage people from non-English speaking backgrounds to apply.
