I already have a security clearance for my current job. Will that speed up my recruitment process?

Not necessarily. All applicants are required to undergo security background checking. The time involved may be reduced if you have held a position requiring a security clearance in the past. However, it will depend on the type of clearance previously held, the agency the clearance was issued by and how recently the clearance was issued or revalidated.

May I apply if I have a criminal record or used illegal drugs?

Yes. However, you must be upfront about this during your application.
