ASIO Employment Register

The ASIO Employment Register is now open for candidates to register their interest for ongoing employment by submitting details using our online recruitment system.

To register in the area of work you have expertise and/or interest in, please select from the list of opportunities below and click on the link to register your interest.

The Organisation will review the information provided and only make contact if your registration is progressing, for those candidates not progressing, we thank you for your interest and time spent in completing the registration process.

Your registration will remain active for 6 months from the date of submission. After this time, and if you are still interested in working for ASIO, you will need to renew your registration. If you have applied for a position within ASIO in the last 6 months and it is for the same type of role as this application you do not need to re-apply.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for ongoing employment within ASIO you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen;
  • undergo a selection process consistent with ongoing employment merit principles
  • be willing and able to relocate to Canberra if required; and
  • be willing to be assessed for suitability to hold a positive vet security clearance that will involve extensive background checking.

      ASIO intelligence officers collect and analyse information to provide advice to senior management and government on matters of national security.

      Applications for Intelligence Officers will be open from Thursday 29 January 2015 to Sunday 1 March 2015.

As a result, ASIO’s technical capabilities are essential to every aspect of our intelligence mission — from collection through to analysis and production of intelligence reports.
