As it grows, ASIO will continue to refine and adjust its organisational structure to ensure that it continue to provide clear points of focus, control and accountability in meeting expectations of its performance across all areas of security intelligence priority and in critical accountability and enabling areas.

Corporate Governance

ASIO's corporate governance framework supports the management of risk, allocation of resources to meet changing business needs, regular critical review of performance across all functions, transparency and accountability. Corporate Governance in managed through corporate committees chaired by senior managers.

  • The Corporate Executive sets ASIO's overall strategic direction and oversees resource management.
  • The Director-General's Meeting provides high level oversight and direction to the ongoing work of the Organisation.
  • Nine corporate committees provide strategic direction to intelligence work; organisational growth and development; information and communication technology capabilities; technical capabilities; security; internal audit, fraud control and evaluation programs; staff placements; and management-staff consultation.
