- October 2011: external works commenced.
- October 2011: installation of the second layer of glass along the Parkes Way façade commenced.
- April 2011: installation of Parkes Way glass façade commenced.
- December 2010: the building reached its full height.
- November 2010: lift installation commenced.
- August 2010: pouring of the car park structure commenced.
- May 2010: façade construction commenced off site – on site installation began in September 2010.
- February 2010: pouring of Level 1 slab completed.
- July 2009: construction commenced. Bulk excavation works also commenced and finalised in December 2009.
- April 2009: the project received a non-controlled action under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), meaning that the proposed works do not have any restrictions placed upon them. - March 2009: an EPBC Act referral was lodged by the Department of Finance and Deregulation. The EPBC Act provides a legal framework to protect and manage nationally and internationally important flora, fauna, ecological communities and heritage places.
- January 2009: the National Capital Authority (NCA) approved site establishment works – these commenced in March 2009. The NCA is responsible for assessing compliance and granting approval of the site development under the National Capital Plan.
- October / November 2008: project planning phase completed and delivery phase commenced.
- June 2008: the NCA provided in-principle support for the building and its concept design.
- January 2008: a secure project office is established adjacent to Section 49, Parkes to accommodate government project officers, the managing contractor, project architect and design consultants.
- August 2007: Bovis Lend Lease (BLL) appointed Managing Contractor.
- January 2007: GHD Pty Ltd appointed as Project Consultant.
