ASIO New Central Office

ASIO is currently constructing a New Central Office in Canberra in a joint venture with the Department of Finance and Deregulation. This special purpose, high-security building has been designed with the capacity and flexibility to meet ASIO’s needs now and in the future.

Our New Central Office will be located on Section 49, Parkes ACT, between Constitution Avenue and Parkes Way.

Background

In October 2005, the Government agreed to the Taylor Review recommendation to increase ASIO’s staffing level to 1,860 by 2010-11. As a consequence of this growth, Government agreed that ASIO required additional adequate space and approved a New Central Office building.
